Welcome to the first article of Convento do Espinheiro. In this blog, you will find all the news, facilities and facts about our resort and our beautiful city of Évora.
For those who don't know our hotel , let us now introduce ourselves:
When asked whether a classic can be reinvented, the answer, when faced with the Convento do Espinheiro , can only be affirmative. Built from an old convent, dating back to the 15th century and considered a National Monument, where the sought-after church stands out, we were able to integrate a new wing, more modern and elegant, without losing identity or personality.
The efficiency of our team and the constant attention to detail make this a unique space, a kind of museum where history unfolds slowly, lulled by the serenity of the plain landscapes, visible from the windows of the rooms. The city of Évora itself, just two kilometres away and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adorns the dreamlike setting that every corner conveys, especially as the sun disappears below the horizon.
We have 92 rooms that appeal to the senses and an endless array of sensory experiences, whether in the magnificent swimming pool in the garden, in the bars, in the cloister of the old convent, refreshing on hot days, or in the Divinus restaurant, where every day the young kitchen team reinvents tradition.
We also have two swimming pools, one of which is heated, and a signature spa with the most exclusive treatments. A place where history, in addition to being present and preserved, is made every day that passes, making this a hotel that is a symbol of an entire region.
